Recently, Plastering Excellene took on the challenge of a complete house renovation in Oakdale, Poole. Our main focus was a full rip-out and renovation of the old lounge, bedroom and bathroom, which included everything from drylining and redecorating to carpet fitting and lighting installation.

The Rip-Out and Removals Process

The rip-out phase involved removing old furniture, fixtures, and unwanted materials from the lounge and bedroom. We ensured that our team safely took down structures and disposed of old materials carefully.

During this stage, we uncovered several surprises, including outdated wiring and flooring that had to be replaced. Removing the old elements revealed each room's potential for renovation and improvement.

Drylining and Shower Room Construction

With the rip-out finished, we could proceed with framing out the understair shower room and drylining the lounge and bedroom. Drylining involves attaching plasterboard to the walls, preparing them for finishing. This method speeds up the house renovation process dramatically.

Lighting, Decorating and Carpet Fitting

Once the walls were prepared, painting and decorating could begin. Our team worked efficiently and thoroughly to do the needed preparation work as well as quality decorating.

Inbuilt downlighting and LED strips were installed to give the rooms a modern and welcoming atmosphere. The newly fitted carpet also adds a comfort and relaxed feel to the rooms.
